In all things there is beauty
Today's blog is on a submission, or a preview. It is poignant but also significant because our project is doing the same thing really. We are in the process of organizing our volunteers to create video journal entries that we will package in to a pilot in the hopes it will leave people wanting more. This wanting - will hopefully lead to funding and then our project can be born. This video was submitted by an 11 year old volunteer who said she was limited to 10 images because she had the free version of this video editing software. I personally funded it for a year for her. Partially because this was done using her iphone only and partially because I am her mother and know how hard she has taken the loss of Gavin, whom she has known a majority of her life, and Gabriella, who she met and adored. She has had a hard time expressing her emotions and loss and if she can put that into a tribute, a project of her own, and it helps in her healing process then I have done my job. This is the very intent I have for this project. To heal, to educate, to express, to grieve, to have hope, to generate interest, but mostly, to tell a story that needs to be told.
So while this preview is simple and short - it was created from a pure heart and all I know is I want more.
