ABOUT US

In conjunction with the Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation, this project seeks to raise global awareness of pediatric cancer and to serve as a therapeutic outlet for its participants.  The concept of virtual journaling will provide the audience with a unique, raw, un-staged, un-scripted, true look into the lives of those living with and impacted by pediatric cancer.  Through our Vimeo channel, this journal will provide new footage from different perspectives weekly and catalog these stories for generations.  Download our Information sheet here.

MY TRUTH IN 365 Project:

Using a virtual journaling video concept, this project will work with four groups of participants to provide a unique view of pediatric cancer.  Group 1 will consist of children in treatment for cancer.  Group 2 will consist of parents, grandparents and/or siblings of a child in treatment.  Group 3 will consist of Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Researchers, and Advocates working with Pediatric patients.  Group 4 will consist of parents/siblings/close friends that have lost a child to cancer.

Through our Vimeo and YouTube channels, each group will provide their own unique answer on a provided monthly topic.  We will piece together the videos weekly – only editing for quality.  These short snippets will paint a very real and vivid picture of childhood cancer and will be used as part of a social media campaign.

In our first year, we worked with known childhood cancer organizations to assist us in identifying ideal candidates and families they work with who are willing to tell their story and fully commit to doing that for a full year. We used this as our pilot.

We are now in our second year, have launched our web series,  and have four participants filming. A child with cancer (age 16), a mother of child in treatment (age 4), two oncology nurses, and are in talks with a Physician.
